CBL Design: Digital eDM and Annual Report

When CBL Insurance (CBL) endeavoured to set themselves apart from other financial service providers they engaged the design services of Acumen Republic.

The brief was to design a sophisticated contemporary look and feel that would underpin CBL as the largest and oldest provider of credit surety and financial risk in New Zealand.

Working within some established brand guidelines Acumen developed a clean and refined design for CBL's flagship publication, their Annual Review.  Through the process of analysing the hierarchy of data and information flow, design was used to improve accessibility to complex financial information. Key information was highlighted in pull-outs to support a ‘first-glance’ and ‘second-glance’ readability style and financials were presented in simple easy-to-access tables.

Following on from this success, Acumen has more recently designed, written and implemented a quarterly eDM programme to communicate with key stakeholders.  Using best practice digital design principles, Acumen created a simple on-brand eNewsletter that demonstrates CBL’s capability within a digital environment and creates an opportunity to keep key stakeholders informed of new product developments and provide an overview of CBL executive viewpoint on industry issues.
